The NeuroBloom Journal was created for you.

This blog is an extension of our work with families—a place where we share practical insights, structured tools, and real-life strategies to support adolescents as they grow in communication, confidence, and self-advocacy.

But before we share what we offer today, we’d love to share how NeuroBloom began.


🌱 Where It All Started

In 2012, Maestra Claudia began partnering with museums, preschools, children’s boutiques, and cultural centers across San Francisco and Sausalito to create joyful, 100% immersive Spanish workshops for toddlers. There were songs, crafts, movement, storytime, and culture-rich play.

Among the children sitting in circle—singing and creating—was her own daughter, Amelie.

What began as shared moments between mother and daughter quietly planted the seeds of something much larger: a journey rooted in language, connection, and community.

By 2015, those early workshops evolved into structured Spanish as a Second Language programs. Claudia began designing after-school and in-curriculum programs for K–12 students in private schools throughout San Francisco and Tiburon. Her classrooms blended language, culture, and meaningful real-world application.

Alongside this work, she increasingly supported students with diverse learning profiles—including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. As both an educator and a parent navigating neurodivergence, she understood deeply that learning requires more than curriculum.

It requires:

  • Predictable routines
  • Visual scaffolds
  • Individual and small group learning spaces
  • Clear structure
  • Relationship-centered teaching
  • Space for authenticity

She became known for creating inclusive environments where students felt safe to participate, take risks, and discover their strengths. Over time, one truth became clear:

Language learning can be more than an academic subject.
It can be a pathway to confidence, connection, and self-advocacy.

🌸 A Youth-Led Expansion

In 2024, Amelie stepped into leadership.

She launched Inclusive Girls Club — Be You. Enjoy Your Way. (Club Inclusivo de Amigas — Sé tú. Disfruta a tu manera.), inspired by the Amor índigo© blog community. Designed as a bilingual Spanish-English space for autistic and neurodivergent girls and teens, the club created opportunities to socialize without masking—through crafting, coloring, and shared conversation.

It was a powerful moment in NeuroBloom’s evolution.

This initiative reflected a new layer of our mission: youth-led, strengths-based, community-centered spaces where teens could show up fully as themselves.

🌻 Who We Are

Claudia Monroy-Wu, MBA, CAS
Teacher Lead & Co-Founder, NeuroBloom

Claudia is a Certified Autism Specialist and bilingual educator with over a decade of experience designing constructivist and inclusive Spanish programs for neurodivergent learners. She serves Spanish-speaking families through the Stanford Autism Center and is currently completing PEERS® Parent Social-Emotional Coaching training, with advanced Telehealth PEERS® Social Skills Training for Adolescents underway this April.

Her background includes both education and business leadership (MBA, Babson College), allowing her to thoughtfully design programs that are structured, research-informed, and outcome-oriented, while still warm and relational.

Amelie Wu

Amelie is a Freshman at Mercy High School, where she serves as a Student Ambassador and is an active member of the Coffee Club and Mock Trial. Trilingual and community-driven, she brings two years of experience supporting K–3 summer campers through the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Bay Area Friendship Circle nonprofits.

As a youth leader at NeuroBloom, Amelie is dedicated to building inclusive spaces where neurodivergent youth feel seen, supported, and empowered to be themselves.

Today, we design intentionally small-group and 1:1 programs for adolescents that integrate:

  • Spanish or English language development
  • Executive functioning skills (planning, organization, flexible thinking, self-monitoring)
  • Social communication and perspective-taking
  • Confidence and independence-building

Our approach is structured yet relational. Academic yet human. Evidence-informed yet deeply personal.
